Choose the right turbo

• Power target (WHP): size the compressor/turbine for your wheel horsepower, not crank numbers.
• Spool vs top-end: smaller frames = earlier boost; larger frames = more headroom.
• A/R & twin-scroll: match A/R to displacement/RPM; twin-scroll improves response on 4–6 cyl engines.
• Bearing & cooling: ball-bearing CHRA spools faster; journal-bearing is cost-effective; water-cooled CHRA handles heat better.
